need some help on car rental deals?
What is the minimum rental places will have your credit card until you return the car or you can give the expected cash flow that you can return immediately? What is cheaper and better place? The rental is 4 nights 5 days.

They generally put a hold for the entire amount of the rental including all the taxes. Most will not take a cash deposit and require a credit card. Some will take a debit card but not all–you have to ask when you call around.
In order to rent a car you will need a credit card or debit card that has sufficient credit limit to pay for the whole rental and a tank of gas. The rental agent will get an authorization at the time of rental(not before) which will put a hold on your account for that amount. When you return the car make sure you allow yourself time to fill the gas tank outside the airport and check in at the counter so you can pay with cash or switch to another card. Return the car the same time of day as you rented it or there may be overtime charges!!! You must be 25 to rent a car, there are exceptions if you are in the military for example. Hertz is usually a good place to start. They are more lenient to people with credit issues and are willing to accept debit cards usually. Make a reservation but you can check for better over-the-counter deals when you get there. I just go down the line and ask each one what the best deal of the day is. Rental agents are given the power to offer great deals to walk-ins. If you find a good deal at the couter with Budget, Avis, National(owned by Hertz now), Dollar or Alamo, please cancel your original reservation. Oh, if you belong to AAA or AARP or other national organization be sure to ask for discounts! Good luck to you.
