Because the company regards hire vary so much? We rented a car in August in Kentucky for three days and paid a total of $ 68 and now that will soon be back to rent a car for no more than two days (1 day 11 hours) and it cost us $ 120. I Vent, true, but I am offended in any way, you know. . . Please add your thoughts break here. . . Lole. . . all have cars available. In fact, the company that picked up in August is different from the company I chose for this next trip, because they also review each deal available. More ventilation. . . . lol

supply and demand
Some times car rental placed offer discounts for longer periods of time. I know when we rented a car for our honey moon, it was cheaper to rent it for the entire week then just a few days. You might want to check if they are having a weekend discoount and just keep it fort a few extra days you may get a cheaper price. I think they do this for those people who have no option, businesspeople who really only need the car for one day, that is where they make their money.
check ALL websites befire you get a car, and mostly, priceline – if you have the time, start very low – you never know what you can get.
Also, ALWAYS get it for whole days (2 days, even if you mean to return it in 1 day 11 hours – the hourly rate is much higher when you talk 6+ hours)
It’s going to vary by car class, days of the week, if there are any area special events going on, location, etc. You apparently knew ahead of time what it was going to cost and should have taken these factors into consideration at that time. Was this for pleasure purposes or a necessity?
